Managing Director
Perry Duffy
I have always been interested in building and adding the wow factor to a property, whether it be for myself, my family and friends or our fantastic clients. My career in construction started at a young age, I learnt a lot across the years, honing my skills whilst deciding the direction I wanted to take. I got into renovating houses as a bit of a side project or hobby, after many flips and some new build projects, I finally decided to take the leap and formed HD Developments. The aim was to build a reputable construction company based on integrity and a true passion for what we do. Along the way, other businesses have sprung up like Aqua Spa and Leisure, HD Outdoor Living, HD Scaffolding, and it occurred to me that the opportunity to merge the businesses into one group would allow us to stand out from the crowd and offer a truly unique turnkey solution to our clients. The HD Living Group can now take care of your construction project from design through to completion, covering all aspects of outdoor living too such as garden design and landscaping, outdoor kitchens, garden rooms, hot tubs and swim spas. And the mission? Just as it was on day one: to build a company that is trusted within the community and takes pride in continuously delighting our customers.

Site Foreman
Nick Hennessy
My name is Nick, I am a carpenter by trade with the best part of 35 years of experience under my belt. I’m not sick of it yet, as I still like being on the tools today.
I have been with HD in one form or another since the very beginning and for the last 10 years or so, I have taken on the role of site foreman. It is my job to take care of our on-site teams, keeping everyone motivated and focussed to ensure we stay on track and deliver each stage of your build on time. My role with the HD Living Group will be much more of the same, you can expect to see a lot of me on site throughout your whole project.
Hobbies: When not at work, you’ll find me on the golf course or out walking the dog with my wife and kids.
Project Sales Manager
Laurence Hookway
Bio: My background is in commercial kitchen sales for hotels and national restaurant groups, overseeing national roll-outs of new equipment or working with clients to spec their kitchen and source the right equipment. The suit and tie was never really me, so I jumped at the opportunity to join the HD Living Group as a Project Sales Manager in April 2020.
Whether you want to work with us on a building project, invest in a spa, garden room or outdoor kitchen it is very likely that we will be in regular contact, from initial meeting through to design, delivery and completion. I like to work with our clients in a consultative manner, listening and discussing your requirements in detail then coming up with the perfect solution.
Hobbies: When I’m not at work, you’ll find me spending time with my wife and two children or training at my local Jiu-Jitsu club.
Executive Personal Assistant
Timea Nemeth
I am Timea, but please call me Timi. Hungarian born, my adventure in the UK started 11 years ago, which I still vividly remember today as such an exciting moment. Throughout the years I have worked predominantly in the hospitality industry as a manager in luxury hotels. After a short period working for my brothers business, I discovered a new love for personal assistant style duties so decided to change careers. My life has shifted and I have now been a PA for the last 4yrs. I joined HD Living Group as an Executive PA a year and half ago and I am very excited for the new projects we have coming up.

Barry Chapman
Hi, my name is Barry, my role at HD Living is very much an all-encompassing “assistant manager” type of role, but primarily involves sourcing the best quality materials at the best possible prices, as promptly as possible. After commencement of your project, you’ll see me pretty much on a daily basis, as I pop in to liaise with foremen and all tradespeople to monitor progress and remain on top of material requirements so as to keep the job moving, minimising lost time due to unavailability of materials. These visits will also serve contact point for you, the customer, to ask any questions or anything – I’m happy to help in any way I can! I’m very much a local boy – have lived in the area my whole life. I’ve been in and around the construction industry for 15 + years now, most of that time as a qualified electrician. After an extended break following the birth of my son, I was beyond excited when I had the conversation with my long time friend Perry about joining him and the HD Living group, and the rest, as they say, is history…..
Hobbies – Gym/keep fit, spending time with my family, letting my dog take me for a walk!
