A Coastal Retreat Inspired by Travel, Craftsmanship and Calm, and its almost there.

Bay House is now entering its final stages of construction and the vision that started as a dream is fast becoming a reality. With scaffolding now removed and the finishes taking shape, the home’s beautiful design, unique materials and handcrafted details are beginning to show themselves.
Inspired by Travel, Brought to Life with Detail
The home draws on the client’s global travels, with design elements inspired by boutique retreats and coastal hideaways. This personal influence is felt throughout the interiors, particularly in the bespoke curved niches that soften the space and create moments of calm. Designed in collaboration with interior designers at Base Camp Designs and brought to life by our skilled team using Wedi board, the niches are gently lit with hidden uplighting and designed to house meaningful objects collected from around the world.

Lighting as a Mood-Setter
Lighting has played a key role in the design of Bay House. A variety of fixtures, including uplighters, downlights and carefully placed spotlights, help create mood and dimension across each space. Installed by ADM Electrical and finished with precision by our plasterers and carpenters, including LVB Plastering and Nick Massy Collier the recessed lighting complements the clean architectural lines while adding warmth and sophistication.

A Bathroom That Balances Texture and Tone
Material choices throughout the home have been key to maintaining its sense of quiet luxury. In the bathrooms, a combination of high-quality Porcelanosa tiles and sleek fittings from ABI Interiors offers a refined, spa-like feel. Soft wood tones from Polyrey laminate add depth and texture, whilst understated lighting and subtle curves keep the palette warm, calm and cohesive.

A Unique Approach to Movement Between Spaces
In a playful design twist, the access to the children’s bedrooms features a distinctive step-up platform system rather than traditional staircases. Designed as an informal and tactile way for little ones to move between levels, this creative solution brings a sense of fun and individuality to the upper floor, reflecting the family’s desire for a home that balances practicality with personality. It’s a small detail that makes a big impression and speaks to the bespoke nature of the entire project.

With final landscaping and interior installations underway, Bay House is shaping up to be one of our most refined coastal projects to date, a sanctuary created by our craftsmanship and the serenity of the location and design choices.
We look forward to revealing more as the final touches are completed.
